The Explanation Conference of the 2019 International Competition of Autonomous Walking Intelligent Robots was successfully held on the morning of June 11 at North Campus of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology. Teachers and students from School of Microelectronics and related departments participated in the conference.

At the beginning of the conference, the staff of the organizing committee invited the participating teachers and students to watch the video collection of the previous competition together. Then the staff of the organizing committee introduced the competition's background, process, category, unique advantages and other aspects in detail to the participating teachers and students, so that they could have a deeper understanding of the competition. Then, Professor Zhang Chun, the technical director of the competition, associate researcher of the Tsinghua University microelectronics institution, gave a detailed explanation on the events, rules, online training, team selection, robot rental and other related matters of the competition. At the same time, the development board, control board, steering gear and other related technical parameters provided by the organizing committee were explained in detail. Finally, Professor Zhang Chun and the participating teachers and students jointly watched the highlights of last year's competition.

After the explanation, Professor Zhang Chun used the standard competition robot provided by the organizing committee to give a simple demonstration to the teachers and students. A series of actions such as walking route planning, target recognition and color ball capture were completed one by one under Professor Zhang's operation. In the follow-up question-and-answer session, the participating teachers and students respectively raised questions about the number of manual resets, robot modification, track and other related issues. The Organizing Committee of the competition answered these questions in detail. At the same time, wishes Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology a good result in this competition.

After the conference, the teams of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology who have registered for the competition, experienced the robot for a while. At the same time, they have a further communication with Professor Zhang Chun on the problems encountered in the preparation of the competition. The participating teams indicated that they would be more actively involved in the preparation of the competition and strive to achieve a good result in this competition.
