The Explanation Conference of the 2019 International Competition of Autonomous Walking Intelligent Robots was successfully hold on the afternoon of May 29 in the Sipailou Campus of Southeast University. Teachers and students from the School of Instrument Science and Engineering of Southeast University participated in the conference.

        At the beginning of the conference, Zhang Ying, deputy director of Beijing Institute of Electronics and deputy director of Beijing Institute of Electronic Information, represented the organizer of the competition (Beijing Association of Science and Technology) and introduced in detail the background, competitionnt, advantages and characteristics of the competition. At the same time, the original intention of hosting the explanation conference in Southeast University was briefly explained. Subsequently, Professor Zhang Chun, the technical director of the competition, associate researcher of the Tsinghua University microelectronics institution, gave a detailed explanation on the events, rules, online training, team selection, robot rental and other related matters of the competition, and watched the videos of previous competitions with the participating teachers and students.

        After the explanation, Prof. Zhang Chun also gave a robot demonstration to the participating teachers and students. The successful completion of bowing, stretching, rolling performed by the participating robots pushed the atmosphere of the conference to a climax. In the subsequent question-and-answer session, the teams of Sichuan University and University of Electronic Science and Technology raised questions about the rules of the competition, online training, robot rental and other related issues respectively. The Organizing Committee of the competition also answered these questions in detail, and sorted out the links that need to be improved in the later competition.

        After the conference, Professor Song Aiguo, Dean of Instrument Science and Engineering College of Southeast University, invited the Organizing Committee of the Competition and Professor Zhang Chun to visit the National Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics of Southeast University and the Key Laboratory of Telemetry and Control Technology of Jiangsu Province, and had a brief exchange with the Organizing Committee of the Competition. At the same time, Professor Song said that the Organizing Committee of the Competition would actively organize students to participate in the Competition, he also wishes this competition a complete success.
