The 4th Competition (2022) was held successfully

The 2022 International Autonomous Intelligent Robot Competition was successfully held from August 26th to 28th at the Beijing Science Center. The competition is hosted by the Beijing Association of Science and Technology and the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, and organized by units such as the Beijing Electronics Society and the School of Integrated Circuits at Tsinghua University. It is held in a combination of online and offline formats.


This competition has attracted contestants from countries such as China, the United States, Germany, Russia, Singapore, Australia, and other countries in fields such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, computers, and automation. Nearly 500 teams have signed up to participate, including contestants from well-known universities such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Southern University of Science and Technology, Southeast University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and Beijing University of Technology. On the basis of retaining the traditional physical and virtual competitions, this competition has established the "Enterprise Proposition Competition" for the first time, guided by the needs of enterprises. The contestants competed around "who can tame a smarter robot".


Focusing on the innovation, entrepreneurship, and career development needs of young technology talents, we aim to stimulate and encourage more young technology talents to innovate and start businesses. During the competition, an exchange conference on innovation talents and career development was held, inviting representatives of outstanding award-winning athletes from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, and Beijing University of Technology to share their experience in the competition. Zhou Yumei, a researcher of the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Zhihua, a professor of Tsinghua University, Liu Jun, deputy director of the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Research Center of the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Zhejiang Province, and other well-known scholars and investors were invited to participate in exchanges, and in-depth discussions were conducted around the future innovation technology development, talent cultivation direction and career planning route in the robot field.


As a part of Beijing Science and Technology Week, in order to bring people closer to robotics technology and help them learn more about robotics related knowledge through active exploration, this competition has set up a theme exhibition interactive area to showcase the technological development and application of autonomous intelligent robots. This science popularization will provide detailed technical explanations through exhibition boards, as well as dynamic demonstrations of dance robots, hexapod robots, snake shaped robots, dog shaped robots, etc., to enhance the fun of science popularization. 


The International Autonomous Intelligent Robot Competition is an international competition platform in the field of artificial intelligence built around the construction of the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center and the development needs of high-precision and cutting-edge industries, focusing on the cultivation of cutting-edge scientific and technological talents, and fully leveraging the advantages of academic resources. The establishment of the Zhaoyi Innovation Remote Autonomous Intelligent Robot Chip Application Laboratory of the Beijing Academy of Sciences will consolidate the technical achievements of the International Autonomous Intelligent Robot Competition over the years, accumulate innovative applications of chip and artificial intelligence technology, explore the application innovation of chip technology to promote the innovative application of autonomous intelligent robots in the industry, gather domestic and foreign researchers, carry out collaborative application innovation work, and connect young students' competitions with enterprise needs, Explore young talents and serve enterprises to enhance their technological innovation capabilities.


The participating teams from Tsinghua University, Southeast University, and Southern University of Science and Technology won the first prize.
